hey my name is chris and ive been a member on twinturbo.net for about a year and only a few months on 3zc. before i owned my z, i had a mustang that i didnt like very much. i was looking to trade it for a honda until a z caught my eye one day while browsing through craigslist ads.
i did a lot of creeping around on the forums researching info before i bought my z. i had looked at several z's with each having many problems and most not running. the first z i went to look at was a white na. the guy also had a tt in the garage. as soon as he showed me the tt i knew i had to have my own. i searched for about a year with no luck. one day i was ready to go look at a white tt auto in burbank. it wasnt what i wanted but the price was fairly low at about 5k. right before leaving, i refreshed the cl page and a new listing was posted. it had half the miles as the white z i was about to go look at and was just what i wanted. i called and headed right over. the guy told me i was the first to call but he had constantly been getting other calls even while i was there looking at it. i had seen the outside and inside and thought there had to be something wrong. it was fairly clean only needing some paint and love. then he said "wanna go for a test drive?" that was it for me. i was sold! the first running twin turbo i had gone to see! i was beyond excited. my girlfriend even looked at me and said "BUY IT. youre stupid if you dont." (she went with me to see every z. quite the trooper.)
she had about 98k miles. i stole her at $2900.
towed her home on a flatbed the next day. she had a misfire and was easily fixed with a new injector. it was cylinder #1. did not require a plenum pull or grinding. i cleaned the electrical connections according to the faq section on tt.net. i also replaced the clutch.
i also put megan downpipes while i was under the car (junk ass parts wish i never bought them -_-) 
i updated the stereo system with mb quart components up front and kicker coaxials in the rear with 2 10" kicker cvr subs. i also made the sub boxes. i wish i had just bought them. they were a pain to make -_-
i removed my rotted spoiler
and of course i needed to get an exhaust! dont mind the tails. they are temporary as the old ones were cracked and had moisture
had my full 120k service done at Specialty Z! 
finally got around to installing my jspec bumper
replaced my tension rods with SPL's because the car would shake when i stepped on the brakes. SZ told me this would fix my problem
on a random whim, my dad called me and told me to meet him at the body shop. she was finally getting a paint job!

freshhh! still not done though im taking the car back to be sanded and buffed
so thats been our story so far. 2 injectors, new style ptu, new clutch, updated audio, updated lighting, exhaust, and paint, here is my introduction. i havent gone to any meets yet or met other local members. now that shes much prettier i cant wait to take her out to some meets! and i still carry my little bill of sale with me in my wallet like a trophy
